I made the pies at Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, the recipe was wrong and it actually made enough filling for FOUR pies, not two. Fortunately, we then had four delicious squash pies and they were all actually eaten. I'm sure having Hubbard squash and locally grown organic pumpkin definitely helped improve the flavor.
